UL listing is an owner's assurance that the listed contractor has demonstrated and maintains a performance capability to design, install and maintain fire detection and alarm systems in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
In addition to maintaining required local alarm licenses, Protex Central encourages system designers and technicians to voluntarily submit to certification testing administered by the National Institute for Certified Engineering Technicians in the field of fire protection technology. NICET certification is an owner's assurance that the individuals designing, installing, programming and servicing the fire suppression systems have met a written test and field experience standard along with meeting continuing education requirements.
